I’m gonna start from the top. I am Jeovany a 10th grade student at Fort Lauderdale High. I’m also a Cambridge student. I’m an athlete and a captain. I am obviously in the AICE Media program in my school. And this school year half through and so is this class. Starting the 3rd quarter I’m starting the final 2 min movie task. This is the big one and It will combine everything I’ve learned in the class to create it. In all honesty I’m glad I took this class because the items I learned are really cool. Maybe in the future I can do fun things with it.
Like I’ve said this class and taught me a lot of cool things in the movie business. Things like the stages of a whole movie production. All the steps from an Idea in the development stage to scripts and storyboards in pre-production, to filming in production, and editing in post production, with lastly distribution and exhibition. Also teaching me how to use a camera and other equipment like a tripod. Most importantly how to dump footage and edit it. I’ve learned the editing process is one of the most important parts to the final product. This is why editing is my favorite thing to do in all of the process. I’m also pretty good at it I’ve taken advantage of the other tasks to learn how to edit decently. I also like doing the storyboard and pre production steps. It’s the embodiment of the movie before it’s even made.
What is pitch? Pitch is someone describing an idea of a film in which is encapsulated in about 25 words. For the final task I have 3 pitch ideas.
1. A kid going about his day walking in his neighborhood, living a happy day, but then sees something in a ditch and goes to see. It’s a body, but wait is that dad?
2. A lonely skater with only one goal to go big. Skating around town there’s a flyer for a national qualifier tournament... it’s his chance!
3. A man out for a morning run, a man we know nothing about. Who he is or what he does. He’s followed by others but ignores it, turns the corner. Sees a fist... black screen
