Completing the Editing

This was the last day of my film production. I reached the end and I’m very glad I did. Starting the day off I pulled up the IMovies software. After previously splitting up the scenes. I went back and placed the exact transitions. The one’s I wanted for the end result film. I set the over laying time and delay time. Then moved on to my next task. Placing the soundtrack. I did this by splicing the scenes into more clips. Mainly because some scenes only have music playing for parts of it. Instead of the whole scene then the movie would be a song instead. After placing transitions and the soundtrack, the film was completed. I just had to slight adjustment from scene to scene. In all I’m really glad to be done. This production wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be. Last year was definitely more entertaining. However, this is only due to the amount of trouble I have been having. Way too many unseen setbacks. Not just normal ones too the kind of set back that strain a person. Like York, that’s my real life animal I was very stressed about what was happening with him. Enough of that though, it’s finished. Now for the remaining part of this class.

Editing the First Half

Started the editing process today. It is fairly simple. At least with my editing software it is. As explained previously I use IMovies. Very easy to learn editing. While all of it looks very well done. So I actually favor IMovies deeply. So starting today off. I pieced all the clips together. Creating about 6 mins of material. Then I started cutting time off the clips. For most it would just be a few seconds off the end. A few needed the seconds taken from the start. Also a combination of both. Lastly for the day I just divided up the scenes from the clips. Allowing them to have sounds/ music or transitions to be added later on. Which will be the main last things to do next editing day. For the music I decided to stick with the IMovies music. It’ll be easier to add to the clips. Plus I can avoid the situation with copyright and permission.  In all I feel today was productive

Last Film Day

After a long month we have finally finished the filming part of production. I’m honestly just glad to be done filming. Now that the hard part is out of the way. I can move forward to the easy part. Probably my favorite part as well. The editing, like last year I wanna keep it simplistic. So today, we filmed the following 6-10 pages on the storyboard. York was having a rough day. His paws were in pain. I had to double up on medication. Then give him a few break in between scenes. The best part today had to be the last scene. It was sooo easy. I literally just laid down with my best friend. I also loved the car scenes. It was something different. In AS level last year I didn’t have a car yet so I couldn’t have used it in scenes. Now that I have a license at my expense it was easy. My least favorite. Obviously following a common theme. Scenes involving the control of York. They are always very difficult, he’s a very active animal.

Halfway Through Filming

Today was a productive film day. After dusting myself off from another setback. Only moving now on forth. Today we got to about the 6th storyboard page. This were the meat of the story comes into play. Introduction of the new characters. Such as Jeo’s mother and father. Also the important mysterious thief. The facts of York going missing. Obviously the toll York being gone is taking on Jeo. Then the deference of scenery shifting. Also the fast pace of which. Since it is a short film. The filming stopped at the scene of Jeo leaving in his car to find York. Obviously with the incident I can’t use my car. The work around I’ll be using is going to be my real life mother’s car. So not a hard fix. In all today was good and productive. The hardest parts of today definitely deal with the dog as an actor. Absolutely it is hard to have him play with the ball in one scene as perfectly as you want. Then also have it listen perfectly and stay still. Even worse when you have to make it look like the dog is under the control of someone. Especially when that someone isn’t the real owner so then the dog has no interest. We made it work however and continued on. My scene was probably the easiest. I just had to make faces to convey trouble and speak a little. Not amazing looking but not hard.

Very Bad Month

Sadly I faced another setback. This has not been the best month for me. First my star actor was badly injured. Unable to film. Now my car. Which was needed for several scenes has been badly damaged. Making it unusable in filming. However in terms of the car it will be okay. I was not at fault. The person who’s fault it was is my neighbor so he can’t escape paying it. He is fixing the car. With no financial burden on me. So with this accident I needed time to recover. It happened the night of Christmas eve. It is now the 27 and I will be filming later today. As theatre says the show must go on. I’m on limited time and can’t continue to stall. From this blog on the rest of the blog with only be on the production. I want to produce 2 more film blogs. Followed by 2 editing blogs. I will finish my film by deadline.

First Film Day

Today I finally began filming. Through all the set back and fighting the deadline. My friend and I were able to film at least 1 minute worth of film. Which isn’t a lot at all. However, with the amount of time I’ve been able to pull together. I think it was a good amount of material. I will be fighting to get the rest of the time. I’m just glad I got the wheel to start turning. Hopefully I won’t face another set back. I don’t think I’ll be able to pull together after another. York is healthy and wasn’t giving any injury troubles today. So on to what we filmed. We basically just got the introduction of the film. About 3 full scenes. Which translates to about 2 pages on my storyboard. We had the beginning walk. Which was hard to figure out the angling to get both me and York in frame. Then the establishing shot at the school was probably the easiest scene. The scene portraying my character enjoying time with his dog and looking back was hard for me. Saying as I am no actor. By far the hardest scene was York’s peeing scene. It’s this one because York hasn’t been walking lately. The route we walked to film is the usual route I take him on normal life walks. So I know where he stops to pee. However, because of the accident he hasn’t walked in weeks and his pattern changed. So took a few tries and what I have isn’t the cleanest, but I’ll make it work

Clearance To Film

After a few weeks of waiting. York’s injury has healed. Not completely but enough to a point where I’m allowed to take him out. He had his bandages taken off. However, he still needs his cone on. Luckily I can just temporarily remove it during filming. This is really great news. I was worried on not being able to meet the filming deadline. However with this new development I can begin filming right away. Though I am very behind in schedule. I will be able to cram the days into a few days. Instead of a few weekends like intended originally. There will just be no room for error. I will have to utilize all the time I have. Originally on my scheduling sheet. I would have finished all my filming a week ago. Then I would be at the end of my editing process. So visualizing that really but into perspective. What matters most though is that my star actor York is okay and back in working conditions. Not only that but he is my literal dog and I’m very he is safe. So i have faith things will work out

Filming Set Back

So this week one of the most essential actors got hurt. My dog York. I was supposed to start filming this weekend. However this Wednesday York got out of my house. Then had his feet ran over by a car. He is okay and lucky didn’t get too injured. He has no broken bones or life risking injuries. However his left front foot was ripped open almost to the bone. His paw pads on his feet were hanging be the thread. It took up most of the day taking care of him. It takes most of these days looking after him now that he is hurt. With this set back i might have to cram all the filming in one weekend. He has to get his bandages changed and fixed every 3-4 days so if it heals fast. We might be lucky. However right now he can walk and be productive, but the doctor told me to keep him in bed as much as possible. I think in the long run we’ll be fine in terms of filming. It definitely add a little more stress on me though. What’s most Important is that York is okay. The other things aren’t as crucial. Plus there are some scenes that York isn’t involved with so I can film those scenes instead for right now. Only time to move forward.

Thanksgiving Break Blog

Over the break I decided not to film. Well to be completely honest I decided not to do anything. See the weekend starting off break I had a tournament. This was a very very big tournament. It was up in Orlando. I even left school early on Friday to make it up there for weigh ins on time. I went with my club team. This was a very important tournament. It’s name: Sunshine Pre-Season National Dual Tournament. Basically it was a national tournament with team from all over the country. I had some really tough competition. I ended up coming home Sunday night. So I made a deal with myself. Since I’m a very busy person I decided to cut myself a break. So on the Monday I told myself to do one thing for school then enjoy my break. That’s exactly what I did. The one thing I chose to do were the emails for the music permission. Then I did nothing school related for the rest of the week. I even cut back on my eating and working out regimen. Also including my actual job I cut back the hours. So that I could have a cleanse week for myself and give my body a break from its constant work. The only thing I continued were my wrestling practices but there were only two since it was thanksgiving. I enjoyed my decision and my break but unfortunately that is why I did not film over this break.

Music Blog

Moving forward to the production part of the film. Other than actually beginning to film everything. All I can begin to set up after the marketing portfolio is the music. So before this break. About a week ago. I started brain storming. I figured out switch artists music I wanted to use. Well at least have the permission to use. I ended up just emailing the artists labels for permission. I did this in the beginning of this week. I went with artists like Twenty one pilots, Demi Lovato, Bryson Tiller, and J.Cole. These are some artist in my daily mix. So it made it easy to choose them. They are also artists with many different type of moods in their music. Some songs I felt matched my films theme. Since I know the songs well I will be able to know which parts of the song should go with what scene. At least that’s how I’m seeing it, but I also have some backups. In case the emails never went through or I never get an answer of permission. Since I did this a week ago and I haven’t gotten an answer I feel that is likely. My back up is to use the untitled, uncensored, and copyrighted songs in my editing software. I use Imovies and they have a plethora of free music. So I basically have all my bases covered. There’s plenty of songs that will fit my films mood.

Marketing Setup Blog

Starting the social media foot print is a lot harder than I thought. Last week our assignment was to open up all the social accounts. From there to market for our movie. We didn’t have to completely finalize all of the website. We just had to start it off. Along with the social media. My social outlets are twitter, instagram, facebook, and youtube. I started off by creating a account in each for my movie. All the accounts follow under Gone York as that is my movie name. I switched it from Gone Dog because in creating these accounts it was hard to get that as the user name. However Gone York was free. Since it is the dog’s name I thought it was appropriate. Moving forward I created an email a professional one under the movies name as well. So I used this email to register the four accounts. In these accounts I haven’t done much other than a profile picture for each. After this I created my website using wix.com. I chose a blacked out sort of theme to match the mystery theme of the movie. I added more pictures but other than that not much. I really only linked the social accounts to the website and left it at that. Continuing on I will add a lot more. I do think this is a good start however.

Planning: Storyboard

After weeks of planning and developing our movies. The class finally made it to the storyboard. Weirdly I though this would be our first visualizing the movie assignment. However, the screenplay took that pleasure. So storyboard was done second this time around instead of first. I kind of liked it being done in that order though. With the screenplay being done first it made it easier to visualize the movie. So in turn made it easier to draw out the scenes and write down how it would be filmed. Side note I am not the most artistic so I apologize in advance. However, from what I remember it really only matters if I know what I am looking at and that I do. So I think my storyboard came out perfectly. In turn I feel really good about the movie itself. I can see exactly how I want it played out. Looking back at the process it did take me a while to complete this. Since the movie is 5 minutes the storyboard needed to be 10 pages. So it can represent the right time spaces of the scenes. However, with that being the requirement it is time consuming. Sadly I don't have lots of time on my hand as I explained previously with my tough schedule. It worked out in the end though as I finished on time since we had a week to complete the assignment. I am happy with the out come and it will be helpful in the film process.

Short Film V. Feature Full Length Film

 Similarities:

The short and feature had some consistencies between them. The plot of both deeply relied on the talisman. 9’s closest friend was still 5. The concept of fighting a stronger power was still present. Even the main villain in the short was still an obstacle in the feature film. The art style was the exact same though a little cleaner in the feature film. The ending scene was almost exactly the same in both. The special effects are very similar down to the color and instances. Scene where the talisman takes over the soul of 5, the effects are the same from the short.

Differences:

There are more characters in the feature. The opening scenes are completely different. 9 wakes up in a room hooked up to stuff oppose in feature to already awoken hammering a mechanism in short. In the feature there is deep character development with more than one character. 1 becomes selfless at the end of the feature film. While 1 isn’t a character in the short. The feature film shows the backstory of the world. While in the short the story is still mysterious. 9 first encounter was with 2 in feature film, instead of 5 like in the short.

Opinion:

I think both are really interesting and worth a watch. However, I feel the feature film is just way better.

Research 9, the feature film

My impression on the feature film is that it was a success. I feel that they made a great adaptation from the short. They expanded the plot. They expanded the characters. Added deeply to developing characters. Even gave backstory. There is a lot more to understand watching the feature film. I for one love the movie I used to watch it very often when I was little. Sadly I never really understood all the things that made it such a good film. Going back now makes me realize it all after being in this class. The plot of the film is more revolved around finding out the past. In order to obtain the ability to defeat a higher power. Also the plot revolves a lot around this tablet that seems to hold a lot of power. It also is one of the key props related to special affects. When it is used it hold lots of bright green colors almost looking like wavelengths and it sucks the life out of characters. Again the best part of this film are the special effects. All are executed so well and so visually different than anything I’ve seen before from animated films. I feel the visual effects were a main focus for the film directors. Which was a big pay off. In my opinion the feature film was great and a big success

Research 9, the Short

My impressions on the shirt film are very positive. I understand why it turned into a feature film. The film is animated but it’s very different. This type of animation pops out more and I think it’s really cool. The plot makes sense after the third scene. However, you don’t understand the first two till you watch the whole short. The character development in the short exist. Though it is very slight it makes the main cause of the film. The main character (9) goes is inexperienced and very scared at start. Then because very tactical, vengeful and  fearless by the end. All due to the lost of his friend (5) by the creature. The special effects held this whole short together in my opinion. The use of visual computer design props. Getting them to glowing and Interact with another. To then also playing a big role in the story plot. The most wow scenes are the use of special effects when all the characters killed by the creature come out the prop. Also when you find out what the prop does as it sucks the life out of the friend (5) with extremely bright visual effect. Also all the uses for the eye shutters and glow and especially that flashback. I also thought the way the director choice the plot to unfold was good. He used a present, flashback, present set up and I think it worked perfectly

My Genre Decision

After looking through all three genres (Horror, Mystery, Drama). I decided that all three were do able. However I had to narrow it down to one specific genre. I started putting each genre through a mental test run. Seeing how each one would be done with my restricted free time and obstacles. Testing the timelines and efficiency. Mentally predicting which one would probably have the best final result. Lastly obviously checking which fit my pitch the best. First up, horror was eliminated. Out of all the three horror would be the hardest to complete a final product with. I would also need an extra helper to make it effectively scary. So that kinda already makes it a no go. Also it doesn’t entirely co-exist with my pitch. For example how can I make me losing my animal scary unless I add to it. Next was drama, which was also eliminated but was a very close second. With a drama my pitch fits with it perfectly I can focus on the emotions of the characters losing his loved animal. Also it is very easily do able with just myself. However, I did this genre last year in the ladder class and I want something fresh. So that leaves Mystery, my genre choice. This genre also is easily done with only myself and fits all my restrictions. It fits my pitch not as good as drama but still a strong fit. So I decided to do a Mystery because it’s a good overall fit and something new.

Genres I Would Like to Research

I have thought of three possible genres for my short film. The three being Drama, Mystery, and Horror. In the film industry I see these three being interchangeable and are doubled up in use. A lot of horror movies will also be listed as a drama or mystery. However that is in hour and a half long films (average length). Though in a situation where I was making a complete movie I probably would use all three. Luckily I only have to make a five minute film. So that means I just have to focus on one genre can't fit three complete genre uses in five minutes. In narrowing the genres down to just three I searched up the common used genre in a film like mine. My film is based around a missing loved one, so mystery was an obvious genre and personally I feel I can accomplish it with great result. Another genre was Horror and in this use I feel I could accomplish it but it could the harder of the three. Horror would be harder because I would actually have to make it scary. In the others I really just have to set tone The last to qualify was Drama, the genre is definitely the most over used genre and quite easy to meet its standards. There were a few others like Crime, Comedy, and thriller. Just knowing the general explanations... I did not feel like any were viable options. Based on my film pitch and film restrictions they would be much harder. I stuck with the ladder three because I feel with any of them I can create a decent film. However that is only with basic knowledge on the genres. I must research each one and truly figure out what will match my film best.

A Level Pitch Blog

A teenage boy with a strong connection and love for his dog faces challenges when his dog runs away.

This is my pitch for the five minute short film. As this being my second run through the making a pitch process. I remember the important steps to follow having a problem that needs a solution. Not making something overly complicated. While also doing something with a lot of filming and editorial freedom. I feel this pitch does all that while being suited for my situation. Saying as I will mostly be alone with Jaden to film. Also, I do have a dog who is indeed very important to me. Which means I have all the materials needed and since it is my dog no wasted time. This idea fits my situation perfectly having no extra resources needed other than what I have. Then, being able to perform with the little free time I have. My last years pitch was based on a boy who lost his father but it wasn't conclusive. So this year I get a fresher idea with the same principles. However I at least get to finish it all the way through. Weather it has a good conclusion or not.

A Level Group Blog

So it’s a new year with the same idea as the last to make a movie essentially. How else can you film without a crew? That was a dilemma I faced the whole year last year because I choose to work alone. I did it last year because I didn’t have the time to be meeting with classmates. Also I didn’t know any students in these classes that I could genuinely trust to put their part in. So I decided to go alone, and really throughout last year that was my only real issue. To be the cameraman, editor and actor. Lucky I had help from a friend mention earlier in blogs of last level (Jaden). When I reviewed my process last year in the CCR I realized how much of a disadvantage it was. Not having people to distribute the workload or to help in filming is difficult. Mainly saying that it’s all on you. When you don’t have others it’s hard to think of idea or solutions that could come from their point of view. However, even after saying all that... I will be doing this project on my own again this year. Even with the disadvantages I pulled through last year. I did fairly well and it reflected in my grade positively. I also still have the problem of no time or trusted peers. I still have my job and athletics that take away meet time. So the only way I would be able to do this task or to contribute I would have to do it on my own. So this year will be a lot of the same as last year, just with a different task. Most importantly I will have one person of help and that will be Jaden again when I am in the film process

I Am Back Blog

Hi again, I am Jeovany Colome and I'm back for the next level of AICE Media Studies. I am excited to be taking A level this year. I really enjoyed the former class last year. The class was always entertaining and I felt that I had great freedom to do as I pleased with my work. So I hope this level is very similar to that. I also like learning all the aspects that goes into a film and A level is just more in depth, so I feel I'll enjoy this just as much. Obviously, the best part was the 2 min movie. The final project was probably the most fun thing I did in AS level and I was very proud of its results. So seeing that in this A level it'll be longer and more conclusive I couldn't be more excited. It'll be a better result then last year and I'm looking forward to making it happen. I chose to take A level this year based on some advice and other factors. The thing is last year I passed AS level with a good grade. In doing so I also completed my AICE Diploma. Due to this I wasn't sure if it was worth it to continue taking AICE classes. Specifically a class that I know would take a lot of my time up. However, I discussed it with teachers and peers and they convinced me that it would be worth staying. It is worth it because of the gpa boost taking AICE classes and unlike other AICE classes I already knew the material and it was something I knew I could complete. Also, like I said earlier I generally just enjoyed the class and figured I would enjoy this level just the same. So I chose and I stayed in this class and I am looking forward to this year. There are some global disadvantages in which we will overcome hopefully soon and get back to normal. I am happy to be here can wait to see what I produce.

Audiences and Institutions Essay

Q: Access the importance of marketing
To my belief the marketing of a film is extremely important probably the most crucial part of the post-production. I agree to this because without marketing the potential money made by a film would be significantly less than with it. Think of it as this, you can’t be excited to watch a movie and impatient to wait for it if you don’t even know the movie is coming out. However, a disadvantage to marketing is that if you don’t have connections and the ability to synergize or use cross- promotion and cross media convergence in the film’s marketing stage may end badly and cause a smaller turn out at box office.
Firstly, the positive of marketing. As I stated the marketing process is what makes the big bucks in the result. It doesn't matter if the movie is amazing or mediocre. To be completely honest there are countless number of movies that aren’t good that make millions and countless numbers of amazing films that made scraps just because one had the ability to market and make people WANT to watch it and the others didn’t. I think a great example of perfect marketing execution is the “Furious 7” film. The Film used cross- promotion on an uprising phone brand OPPO and had the film’s name all over it in special events. The production even cross promoted on a Video game, “Forza Horizon 2” having DLCs (Downloadable Content) based on the cars in the movie and even having a quest line. Which in turn made money and got people excited about the movie.  Personally, I played the game and seeing all the new additions and having a few of the story was a main player in why I wanted to watch it after I had fallen off from the series after the fifth movie. The Film made $384 million world-wide. Consider how much less money would’ve been made without the cross promotion and that was just one part of the marketing. The production had the actors themselves go out to film festivals like the SXSW and many other events to talk about the movie.  Another film of marketing success would be “Beauty and the Beast”. This film a lot like “Furious 7” used cross promotion heavily. “Beauty and the Beast” had movie theme merchandised made in places like kohl's, Morgan Taylor (movie themed nail polish), and Twinning (put tea flavors in Beauty and the Beast packaging). It wasn’t only that as they also took to social media branding the film, and even played reruns of an older film to keep the idea of this movie fresh through Cross Media Convergence. Also being a Disney production, the company synergized with under lying companies like ABC to throw advertisement. “Beauty and the Beast” however out did “Furious 7” making 1.3 billion at box office. So, all things considered in production with the ability to tranced platforms and market to the full extent the outcome of this marketing will double or quadruple the revenue from its film.
Onward to the rough side. How can a production with no ability to synergize or use cross promotion to the fullest effectively market their film? Well they can’t at least not in an efficient way or in a way comparable to synergy, cross production. At this point it kind of just comes down to luck and making appearances at event and of social media, to just rely on cross media convergence. This is a major con of marketing because for production this really is make it or break it. The goal of a movie is to make money and if you can’t market effectively then the money won’t come. However, there are some films that turned out just fine without a big marketing stage. For Example, the Film “Moonlight”. I consider this film to have little marketing because the film was mainly marketed through posters. The posters had appeared on social media (Cross Media Convergence) and in fact it was only a set of five but had unusual visuals and were unique, probably why such little advertisement was so successful. The movie’s budget was $4 million which is relatively a low one but made $65 million and won three academy awards. In all honesty many of my peers and myself didn’t know of it till it came on Netflix then won it’s awards soon after. Which coming from a teenager who is often on social media, it means a lot that me nor my countless other classmates and peers knew the movie existed. After seeing the movie, I understand how it did so well, but looking at it from a logistical standpoint this movie with barely any marketing really slipped through the cracks and made it big. However, not so many other films are so lucky it is much more common to movies with no marketing or even bad marketing.
Lastly, I think at this point it’s clear that marketing is very important in the money success of a film even though some films have turned out fine using little to no marketing, most films make it big because of how well it marketed and even “Moonlight” the film I used as evidence for films that made it fine without great marketing still was only initially watched because of what it had marketed till it went big because how amazing the movie actually is. Which bring me to my final point... There is a difference between good and bad marketing. “Furious 7”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and even “Moonlight” with minimal marketing, all marketed good advertisement that led to their individual success. However, there is also bad marketing and as marketing being such a critical part to a production all the work means nothing if you advertise your film terribly. For example, “Slender Man” was a film by the production company of Sony that made all the recent Spider-man movies like “Spider-man: Homecoming” and “Spider-man: Far From Home” both of which had good marketing and were marketed effectively and efficiently, but unlike these “Slender Man” wasn’t so lucky it was however marketed greatly and efficiently having the company Sony using its Cross promotion connections and Synergy especially Cross media convergence. An example of two of the three being how I personally seen advertisement of the movie on my PlayStation 4 (a product of Sony). The film also had a decent budget of $28 million it only made $51 million not even double what was used to make. For all this marketing it should’ve been way over but when you think of was the advertisement good enough to even make you want to watch it? The question is clearly answered as no it was not. Me seeing the advertisement with my own eyes it was very vague and didn’t even feature the correct movie name it said “Slender” with the figure of the antagonist and most of the marketing was similar to this it was vague and confusing but also wasn’t attention grabbing it was the kind of advertisement that you see and want to ignore instead of looking at it and being intrigued
To conclude, Marketing truly is the make it or break it for a production and its film’s box office show out. Although, having good advertisement in marketing is just as important as having lots of efficient marketing and being unfortunate enough to produce bad advertisement in marketing would be worse than having literally no marketing because of its negative impact on idea of the film. A final mention would be that even though some films having little to no advertisement were lucky and had great success, the majority of the film industry successes are all based on marketing and not being lucky. Also, that even though those that are lucky and had little marketing the success they have is partly still because of its good advertisement used in marketing.

Game of Thrones Essay

Game of Thrones Essay Practice
I feel the other’s vision was to create a hierarchy of power and to establish that power is what all the characters seek. I believe in the hierarchy of power because in the scenes it is clear one group of characters are more powerful than the other while both still being powers. I believe power is the main theme and what all the characters seek because it is the only topic being established in both scenes.
Scene one, opens with the more main character on a ship. It goes straight into a Bird’s Eye Shot of a huge statue of an island and the said ship of the character, which shows hierarchy of power being that the island they are entering is clearly more powerful than one ship. There is also use of a Foley artist that gives sounds to the animals and ocean of the environment which also establishes the environment of power driving home the idea. However, before both shots there is a medium close-up of both the characters for this group showing they are well groomed and serious inferring they are powers themselves
Scene two, opens with a Jumpcut showing the meeting area also giving the idea of power hierarchy since the media hall is big and the characters are there waiting instead of being greeted immediately. There is a two-shot showing the two characters of one side and how they seem powerful. Then a three-shot of three characters of the other more powerful showing even in the number of leaderships the other is stronger. This is followed by dialogue explaining why they are there and giving attuite of how the characters treat another again giving the idea of power hierarchy. The dialogue also developed the idea of power. There is a shot/ reverse shot in the scene during the dialogue and it shows the expressions of the characters giving a heated debate on one’s entitlement of power. There is also the use of a prop being a glove it’s used to prove a point of the original group’s leader’s power and this shows that power is respected. Lastly the main thing I think that drives the idea home is the costume, they were cloaks and kind of mediaeval clothing which explains the time period and the world of the show, it makes the idea of power and hierarchy of it understandable because of the world it takes place in.
To conclude, the idea that the other’s vision was to create a scene/ show based around power and the hierarchy of said power is clear to be true. There are various examples in all aspects of film it shows in shot and angles, sound, editing, and mis en scene.
