Title Research- Wimbledon

In this opening sequence a total of 37 titles appeared which is a lot more than all the others.

The images prioritized in the opening sequence are those of the spectators watching the ball get hit from side to side in a tennis match

The connotation given off is a happy and more upbeat then the others they are just enjoying watching a match

The genre is reinforced by the no face of the spectators and tennis is symbolized by the constant batting noise of the ball in the background

An enigma is established by the lack of a leading character and the fact that the players in the match are never shown

Strategies used to reach the target audience are it’s subliminal use of the tennis noise and the use of spectators as the main eye grabbers

Technology was used effectively through editing. Title work was very jumpy and entertaining and new. The images of the spectators were edited to blur the faces and the added tennis match sounds
