Today was a productive film day. After dusting myself off from another setback. Only moving now on forth. Today we got to about the 6th storyboard page. This were the meat of the story comes into play. Introduction of the new characters. Such as Jeo’s mother and father. Also the important mysterious thief. The facts of York going missing. Obviously the toll York being gone is taking on Jeo. Then the deference of scenery shifting. Also the fast pace of which. Since it is a short film. The filming stopped at the scene of Jeo leaving in his car to find York. Obviously with the incident I can’t use my car. The work around I’ll be using is going to be my real life mother’s car. So not a hard fix. In all today was good and productive. The hardest parts of today definitely deal with the dog as an actor. Absolutely it is hard to have him play with the ball in one scene as perfectly as you want. Then also have it listen perfectly and stay still. Even worse when you have to make it look like the dog is under the control of someone. Especially when that someone isn’t the real owner so then the dog has no interest. We made it work however and continued on. My scene was probably the easiest. I just had to make faces to convey trouble and speak a little. Not amazing looking but not hard.
